I need help.

Farmall Super A, 1950 serial# 294548.
I took the carburetor to the shop for a rebuild kit. When I put the carb. on the tractor and turned the gas on the carb. was leaking at the gasket between the two main body sections. There is a stream of gas running from the drain plug at the bottom of the carb. The carburetor is a Carter Ut7335. What do I look for, I will get new gasket but what about the stream of gas from the hole in the drain plug? I thank you in advance for all suggestions.
