Funny thing I looked at one just like that yesterday. It had a home made battery mounting on it and I ask why since it was just like the one you are looking at. The Owner said that the man that he bought it from was going to put a combo generator/starter on it.

These work fine on small engines but I am not sure if one would work on an "A". It would be a simple thing to do if it would work.
