Thanks for the info. It smokes some, but not a lot of black smoke like other diesels I've seen. The smoke is minimal and light colored (blue). I put a rebuilt fuel pump on two years. It corrected the cranking problem. There was some geling in the fuel filters when I replaced them. Can I adjust the pump output? How do I know if the turbo is working? I hear a little wistling from it.
