Faking out the sender field in an email address turns out to be ridiculously easy...leading to this kind of problem. The internet standard for email message headers does not provide for any way of guaranteeing a sender's address, and in fact, it's an in-the-clear text portion of the header and lots of spammers have hooked onto that to fake out anti-spam programs that automatically discard messages that come from blacklisted senders. We implement all sorts of sophisticated anti-spam and anti-virus solutions at my office, and we still get all sorts of garbage coming through. The only sure way of guaranteeing that an email is coming from a particular person is to use digital certificates. Most email systems now support certificates for identification, but it's still a pain to set them up. Over and out, - David
