Sorry, don't have books in front of me, but a guess is 1954, 65HP and @8000lbs. SWDR9 is the model. S for Super or Special (I recall Guy Fays book saying something about one of these big models that didn't get HP updates but chasis updates and called it a Special instead of Super?), W9 is the model, D is Diesel, R is Rice version (different fender type, tire sizes and maybe a foot decelerator?). The row crop models H and M had 'cousin' standard models W4 and W6 with very similar/common motor/transmissions. Standard models sat lower to the ground, wide fronts, non adjustable rear axels. The W9 series was the bigest and had no equivalent in a row crop. It's about as much larger than an M as the M was over the H (just speaking to the relative size of the castings). Now maybe somebody with a book can correct all these speculations;) Stan(VA).
