As you say, this tractor was a FFA project which more than likly means it was gone throught pretty well, it should last someone a number of years if properly maintained. If you were to buy an H an restore it ( I mean restore !!! not a paint job an a change of plugs, oil, filter an points along with a fan belt ) then you are going to have at least 2k in parts add labor an new tires you are over 3k without the mower. The last thing is that if your happy with the price an the person is happy selling it to you, then it's the right price.
