Don: I am a great believer in diesel service motor oils. Thay have served me well over the years. In the mid 1970 I was running 6 Farmalls, 1 Deere, 2 Case, 4 Chevy trucks, 1 MF combine, 1 car and a 4 cycle lawn mower. I was using 3 grades of oil and had about 6 employees. I discovered employees were not keeping it straight on which oil went where. To cure that problem I became a one type motor oil guy. Looking at where the dollar value in engine was the oil became diesel service. Initially I went with 20 in winter and 30 in summer. I later switched to 15W-40 year around. I have had exceptional results; never rebuilt a diesel under 10,000 hours, GM gas engines have gone 300,000 Km. for me,no exceptions, got a 6.2 Chevy deisel to 650,000 Km. I still have that same 4 cycle lawn mower. I use it in my Super A, 130 and 140 today, wouldn't think of changing to any other grade. I have a Buick here with 3.8 engine, 450,000 Km. The Buick is coming up for emission testing, I think it will pass, it did two years ago with no tune ups.

We thought we could get by with this since the engine ran perfectly and would not need any internal work. After the cleanup and painting was done, we began reassembly and finally came to t
