quit running

I have a international harvester model 684 while it was idling it just stopped running. i tried several times to restart it with little success. it sounded as if it wasn't getting any gas. i looked for the fuel pump but did not locate one. Could someone please tell me what to check and where i might be able to get an owners and service manual for this model or possibly a phone number. I am new into the farming business and would appreciate any help you can offer.
