The 214/220/114/120 did not have what IHC called "Tri Clean" when they came out. "Tri Clean" basicly consisted of a raised tunnel on the top of the basket whereas on the non A models the top grates were level with the top of the basket as they had been on all earlier one row models. Also the "Tri Clean" A models incorporated luvers in the doors on the picker heads to enhance the air flow and put a cleaner sample in the basket. There was also a slight difference in the fans. After the A models came out with these features in 59, IHC made kits available to retrofit these models to the non A models. Thus, a 220 as built is visably different from a 220A, but if the 220 has had the tri clean field package added, it looks just like a 220A and you would have to look at the serial number plates to tell the difference. There are three serial number plates on the two row cotton pickers, one on the platform and one on each header. Harold H

How can I explain the sensation and exhilaration I feel when I turn the key and hear the engine come to life (most
