Dwight, The worst that could happen would be your valve seats would erode away in the head. I had a machinist tell me several years ago not to waste my money as he seldom saw problems that he could directly attribute to the removal of lead from the gas. Usually if the valve seats were shot it was from previous valve grinding not from lack of lubrication (which the lead was put in the gas for in the first place). Just my 2 cents worth
