A lot depends on what part of the country you are as regards the going cost but one thing that doesn't travel is quality. If the gent says the tractor is in "rebuilt" condition, i.e. the tractor has been gone through recently, especially in the engine and transmission areas, then $2500 isn't a bad price since it would cost you at least that much to have the engine rebuilt. Also consider the tires and the steering, as they can cost you a pretty penny up front as well. If you are comfortable with his records and your test drive on those items, I would say it's a good price (being from North Carolina). Good luck, Super A's are great machines and if you take care of it, your grandkids will learn to love them as much as you.
