Al L, simple..put a jumper cable on, boost the tractor..if it kicks and fires you know it is a battery /connection problem...if it clicks its likely time for a new solonoid. I had a similair thing happen and my battery was real old so I replaced the battery..then the battery would be dead in a few days..turned out the solonoid was toast and it would just about kill the battery starting the tractor, took about 5 minutes to put a new solonoid on and I've been happy for the last 8 years..getting close to battery replacement again..Mike in Exeter Ontario
