They were common back in fiftys and sixtys but most have been scrapped out or converted back to regular tractor. The drop boxes on MV are chain driven and ones on cotton picker are gear driven. This not only makes tractor high clearance but also reverses travel. To get tractor to travel in foward direction in high clearance configuration requires reverse operation kit that is found on low drum pickers. Remove drop boxes, bolt rear wheels on in normal manner and change out 20 inch front wheel and you have regular tractor except for flanges on rear axles. Many of the tractors came from factory as cotton picker tractor and some were converted from regular tractor by dealers. Do not know value are of any books but chaces are Harold H might know of source for book.
