Starting rod on Farmall A

Is the starting rod on a Farmall A supposed to be attached to the right side of the pedestal, on the other end of the bolt that holds the throttle lever/quadrant? And how big of a job is it to replace the grease seal between the transfer case and the right side of the transmission? And last, where can I get a kit that will replace the magneto? I need every part from the governer to the spark plugs.
