One of the suggestions was a Delco 10SI alternator that's been fitted with a standard tach drive. Well, Dad's been running the tractor all summer, and he's starting to miss the tachometer and hour meter. After much deliberation, he's broken down and is ready to buy the alternator. What I need to find out is what specific tractors used the Delco 10SI alternator with the tach drive. Someone mentioned Massey, but no specific models. I'd like to pick one up and give it to him for Christmas.
