Hugh, I think you meant, "can a C123 engine be fitted with C135...". In a word, No. The C135 crankshaft is different from the C1x3's. There are two versions actually, each with different journal diameters, and both larger than the C1x3's. Journal diameters are larger (mains and rods) and at least on the later C135 that I have been playing with, the front and rear main journals are narrower because the crank is much beefier. Also uses the new 1 piece rear main seal which is totally different. I know of several people custom grinding these cranks to use in the C1x3's, but it's certainly not just a drop in deal. Stan(VA).
