It has more than one seal (assuming it is the original PTO, IH made 3 of them). There is a large o-ring, 59385 D, a felt washer, 59357 D, and the seal 59398 D. YOu might consider replacing the bearing also ST 204 A. My suspicion is that you have a lazy dealer. His computer should be attached to Case-IH's parts system. All he has to do is enter the numbers, he doesn't need to know if it's a 2004 tractor or a 1942. If he says the mumber is "invalid" then he can't get it. All of the seals and bearings are available from a place that specializes in bearings, or perhaps NAPA.
