If you go one wire at a time use stranded copper. Cut out a piece of old wire and take it to a hardware or auto parts store and compare it to new wire to learn the size. My guess Ignition 14 one light 12 two lights 10 battery As big as you can get. I used heavy duty cables made for trucks when I replaced them 6 volt needs twice the wire that 12 volt does
