I have a 48' Cub that I used to plow with the first time about three years ago. All I had was regular ag. tires that were loaded. Last year I put a set of rear weights on and it made a world of difference. I have an extra set of rear weights, but it works so well with one set that I never had a need for the second set. I too look forward to the snow as I really enjoy plowing. You will be surprised at how well the Cub can do.
