When you switch back to gasoline, the compression ratio of your engine drops dramatically. even if the injector nozzles are still spraying a little, the engine should stop when you turn off the ignition. if it continues to run after you turn off the ignition, either your switch isn't removing the voltage from the coil, or possibly the engine is predetonating (dieseling) because of excessive coolant temp., carbon build-up in combustion chambers,(carbon glowing) spark plugs are wrong heat range, or idle rpm too high. if diesel fuel is still being injected after you switch to gasoline, you should have LOTS of smoke! there are 2 adjustments on the injector pump to assure fuel shut-off. you have to remove the pump side cover, oil filler neck, and a 15/16 expansion plug to make the adjustments. You might check the throttle linkage. any bent rods, or sloppy holes in the linkage could prevent the pump control lever from moving the designed amount.
