In your case, a front blade will be nice. We have one on our cub, and it works out pretty well. However, we used to have a massey ferguson 240 (I know- wrong board) and when we bought it, the guy gave the 8' front blade he had for it to us, whether we wanted it or not. The first time we tried it out in the snow, it was so worthless it wasnt even worth keeping in the woods. It was just too heavy for the tractor. Maybe on a bigger tractor it'd been fine, but the wheels just spun and spun on that 240. Even if you put weight on the 3 pt to balance the tractor out, it would sink to the ground after about 10 minutes of using the front blade.
