Should have used a 6 point socket. Never use a 12 point on a difficult to remove item. 12 point sockets and impact wrenches are bad news on tight or rusted components. Follow the previous suggestions and drive a 6 point metric impact socket (not a chrome one) on the damaged plug and use the impact wrench to remove same. It will come out doing this. Good luck
