I have done up several 706's and a couple of 806's , And they were as close to factory as you could get since i knew these tractors form day one . The man i worked for back in 1963 bought the first 806 sold in Ohio and my uncle bought the 2 nd one sold . The first showen was at the Canfield Fair in 63 and the I H dealer went out to Ill . to get a 706 Diesel with wide ft. And three point and the 806 Diesel wide ft. three point . both tractors had flat top fenders and i was in ah at the size of them . My buddy and i would make extra money buy washing and waxen tractors for the fair and i got to drive this 806 right off the truck after we had finished our thing i went stright out to my bosses farm and told him about it and he came in that evening to see it , He was a vary rich person as he owned three large construction compay and a super nice farm just west of Canfield the next day before the fair opened he bought that 806 i am not sure who got the 706 but i think that it went to Pa. I then told my uncle About the 806 that my boss got and he went up to see it and they were plowen with it that day pullen 5x16 in first high . My uncle had a large patato farm just south east of where i now live and he liked it the next weekend i was out there getting ready to start diggen taters and my uncle asked me if i wanted to go for a ride , we went down to the I H dealer and he bought the 806 that had just come in the next weekend it was on the harvester diggen tater and we did not have to have a second tractor pullen the harvester like we use to so i would say that i know the06 series plus i made my living for 19 years worken on the letter seires thru the 88's and have had every nut and bolt out of them. I use to have some pictures on i think BobDuck's sight of the last 806 but not sure it was correct down to the last detail.
