I just finished doing this on my 1951 H with a lot of help from a couple of guys here on the forum. My alternator has the identity of each spade cast into the case. If you are following Bob Melville's wiring diagrams here on this site S is the same as the 2 terminal shown for the Delco 10SI alternator in his diagram. I just looked at my tractor and if you position the alternator with the two pivot lugs down the S terminal is the higher one and runs in a horizontal plane. Hope this helps. If you would provide your email address I have quite a bit of information I can provide to assist you in this conversion if desired. A really neat conversion for the H.
