yup, stand back tanner, go have a cup of coffee or something. Like gene said the distributor should NOT be moving. something is wrong in there. Then when you get that fixed make sure you have fire to the coil. I just jump to the block with my plier handle. If you have juice there then open and shut the points with a screwdriver. every time they break you should get a nice blue spark from the coil wire. You can check all this by simply turning on your ignition switch, never even have to crank the motor.
