Mornin' Howard, I agree, getting the moisture out of an outfit in the middle of winter with no access to a shop is a stinker. I've used a space heater propped up at an angle (setting on a 4x4) to thaw 'em out. That will at least get it to the point of stopping the by-passing and squealing. Then, after using the tractor for the chores and getting it good and warmed up, I would change the oil and filter before letting it set overnight again. The diesel fuel trick works fine for cleaning out sludge and mud, but I don't think it would do a bit of good if the thing is iced up. Allan
