W-30: Need info here's some

I"m in the process of doing a rebuild on my W-30. I"ve got 3 engines, one out of a F-30 & 2 out of W-30"s. Now I"ve got 3 different style of governors. How many different ones were used? To my understanding, A W-30 shares only the crank & rods with a 10-20. You can interchange the pistons, but you have to use the right rings for that piston, they are different. The main bearings, 314 & 316, can be had at a bearing warehouse. It pays to shop around on pricing also. There are 2 styles of each bearing. One is a standard & the other is a "max" bearing, which was the original style. The max bearing has extra rollers to give it more strengh. I"m going to use standard bearings, mainly because not only are they considerably cheaper, this machine"s working days are over, just shows & maybe a pull or two. I had my valve guides drilled & inserted. The intake valves are out of a Cat {we think} & were cut & grooved to fit. If the cylinders are too worn, I believe that the wet sleeves can be bored & a liner pressed into them. Then bore it out to give the proper clearance to the piston. With valves running around $30 a piece & cylinders $200-$250 a hole, A guy looks for other means! I noticed a posting concerning rebuilding a 30 engine the other day, this is just my 2 cents worth. Of by the way, I"m going two stand my engine up on it"s nose & use my cherry picker to lower the crank down into postion. Hope some of this helps!
