The left side of the tractor, beside the brake rod is a small pipe plug. This is the fill level, and it is low on the housing. Transmission and rear end are filled at the same point, though there are two drain points. If you have a belt pulley on the back, you should also fill it. Fill it first as I believe the excess drains into the gear box. 80w90 or 140w gear grease will work fine. Some recommend Hy-Tran but it leaks easier and you might get more gear noise. Gear grease was originally resommended and they recommended Hy-Tran in later years. The gear grease available today is better than what was available when they sepcified it originally.
