When I bought my 350 utitility it was very noisy in 5th gear. I found the problem the bolts that hold the bearing cage, located behind the brakes were broken, that allowed the ring gear to move out.causing the noise.After replacing the bolts I took off the platform. Moved the shims behind the bearing cages to get the proper ring gear, pinion clearance. Can't remember the measurment, but it was a simple fix.RTV will work for the platform as my IH parts man told me they were not available
