You would think that if you had "no" oil pressure, you would be able to hear that engine "rattle". They get pretty noisy with no oil pressure.

I'd sure put a mechanical gauge on it to make sure tho. You don't suppose they filled 'er full of 50wt to sell the thing do you?

Don't wanna sound negative, but gotta tell ya, if that engine has never been opened up, you are way, way overdue for an overhaul. A gasser just doesn't go much past 5000 hours and if that bottom end is all wobbled out, that might be where your oil pressure is going.
