That's exactly how IH Service Manual GSS-5034, Hydraulic Liftall Farmalls H, HV, M, MV, MD, and MDV (a reprint of CHS-68, dated 6-1-47) explains it. The drawings in that manual finally made me able to understand how a gear pump works. It has an explanation of the inner workings of the Liftall the clarity of which is unmatched, in my experience, by any technical manual written in the last thirty years.
