I have never seen one in person, but apparantly the early 300's had the same wheel as the H, etc, that is metal spokes. I don't know if the one for the 300 differed from the 300U, though. The 330, 350, etc had plastic spokes and a large hub with an emblem. If your old one was like the one for the 350 it is pn 366557R1. Simply send it back and exchange it. It always helps to have a parts manual before you start working on something. Manuals are pretty much indispensable for most of us.
