BWS, I like to use diesel fuel. If in the summer, I just put in about 10 gallons and run 'er around the yard for awhile. Then drain it out overnight so it is good and 'drip dried' before adding back the proper oil. But in the winter time, after adding the diesel fuel, I like to jack up the rear end and block it up, put the tractor in road gear and let it set there runnin' in the wind with no load at "just off" idle for 10 or 15 minutes. This gives the diesel fuel a chance to "wash" the thing out. Again, I'd let 'er drip for a spell to get as much diesel fuel out as possible before adding the new oil. If your rear end doesn't have any leaks, just use Hy-Tran all year around. Always worked for me, Allan
