Hi, my brother has had a 454D since 1972.
Great motor, has 15,000 + hrs on it. No major problems, a couple of water pumps, fuel injector return lines and main seal on drive shaft of injector pump, 2 clutches, bearings and pressure plates.
Has had the usuall problems with power steering leaking under the dash and air in the brakes.
Is very careful with parking brake, always releasing before moving tractor.

Great utility tractor. The pump can be turned up to about 50 HP.
