TAs are the primary positive feature of those so equipped. They (if adjusted as needed every two years or so) lasted as long as the engine. They certainly reduced stress on the gears and clutch systems in heavy use by reducing the clutch and stop routine, with the resulting full power restart, when shifting to a lower traditional gear under load. If allowed to be out of adjustment, or used slowly into and out of TA (very bad on the TA clutch) they were not well thought of. If the TA delete was factory, I would say it is irrelevant. If cobbled, or welded, I;d say a detriment. If it was a delete with a trans driven PTO, I'd say it also detracted. JimN
