Thanks Hugh! Team pulling is a lot of fun to watch. Requires not only both tractors be well matched, but also that each driver watch the other's tractor and continually adjust power - like the guys in this photo. The way the equalizer and hitch chains are set up you can only lead or lag your partner by a few feet before you're in trouble. It's particularly difficult for the steamer drivers - traction engines do not start especially smoothly (nor predictably) from a dead stop. But once underway with good drivers a team of steamers is unstoppable!!
