300U wheel

Couldnt find anyone that made a replacement steering wheel for a 300U,so I took an older keyed hub wheel and cut off the hub,cut the splined hub off the old original 300U wheel and then welded the two back together.The original 300U hub had holes where the old spokes would actually engage the hub fully,the replacement early wheel hub had no such feature and were welded to the face of the hub.I pieced in extra 1/2" material so the new extended spokes would fully insert the hub.Here's how it looks with some new paint after all the cutting/welding/sanding.Works great too! Even the old hub nut needed work...the tin cover was dented in.I hammered that back out and sanded the surface smooth once again.
