ya, you could do one yourself. cut the bead off one side. Them you will have to figure some way to hold the tire solid. the guys that do it comercialy have a disk that fits inside the tire but big enough so it won't fit through the hole. then several hooks over the sidewall on the outside and pull real hard. just like skinning a muskrat. I'd think a guy could fasten the tire to a tree and then pull with a tracor. If there are guys in your area that would sure be the best. They will do it for about $5 if you take the tire to them where they are working.
