K.B.: Interesting numbers ejr has put down for us, and I for one, cant argue much with his numbers. Probably should hold these 5 million guys at bay until someone posts the top 50. That one will finish them off. Not hard to see why these numbers went as they did. In the heyday of the Farmall M we were probably farming more land across North America than we were in 1975, couple that with the fact a 1066 would probably acomplish 4 times as much work in a day than a Farmall M. All farm equipment manufacturers encountered this same decline. A lot of guys get caught up in the hype that letter series Farmalls and Ford 8N were the only models to exceed the 250,000 mark. During that roughly 1940 to 1955 period Deeres total tractor production would have been very close to IH total figures. The Henry boys would have us believe they were right in there, but they basically only had one model on the go at any given time. Maybe we should look at the figures from a point of total hp of all tractors produced by each company in a given year. Would be interesting, I'm thinking total tractor hp produced in 1950 by all companies would be quite close to 1975 figures.

If i said that this was a little frustrating for him that would be "conservative" in fact the problem had reduce
