Mitch: Too much money. You should be able to find a good 656, 706 or 756 with 3 point for $5,500. I think Allan is a bit high on the new price, way back when. I didn't do the buying on my 560, but I don't think my dad paid $4,000. I know my 656 was only $4,200. new. My 560 was equiped same as that one except I had 2 remotes besides the fast hitch control valve. My 656 was wide front, 2 remotes and 3 point. Believe me though, Allan is right on the money if you have to start engine rebuild. You could quite easily have a $10,000. or $12,000. tractor. Without 3 point in 2005 that is a lot of money. When my 560 blew it's engine, IH dealer was going to sell me a short block, that is complete with crank, rods, pistons and sleeves, for $4,000. Other than engine my tractor was in excellent condition. That was 1978 and I couldn't see spending that kind of dollars on a tractor without 3 point. Dealer even offered me a used 766, no cab, for about $10,000. These were all diesels.
