An H186 is very similar to a H100 but if you go to the service manual for the transmission the Hydro 100 one and older is in one section and the 186 and 3488 are in another section. I don't know if there are large differences. One difference that is not that neat if you are opperating both is that the speed control lever on the old ones goes to the right and ahead for forward while the 186 goes to the left and ahead.
