well i pulled a few more pieces off tonight and hopefully the engine will be out and ready for the hot tank by the weekend. i called Rice Equipment and ended up just ordering the rebuild kit and all the gaskets and such (minus the rod and crank bearings). i figured what the heck, i had to pull everything out to clean the block and i may as well just rebuild the whole thing back to new instead of doing it over twice. i'll just eat PBJs for lunch for a few months.

i still have to get the sleeves out. i have a feeling they may come out in pieces.
