Chris------ There are 2 things you can do to get into the wider tires and rims. The old M wheels are width restricted and I beleive a 12 inch rim is the bigest that was made. You can get knock offs that are wider or have someone widen them, but that is pricy. I got farmall 400 wheels. They fit right on the axel and you can then use the rims and tires from newer IH tractors. I have run both 18.4 & 16.9 tires on my M. The second option is to get MH 44 hubs. They fit the M axel and then you can use the 9 bolt, tin rims and they are available in both 34 & 38 inch sizes and a larger variety of widths. Good luck.
