maybe the crank is broke would help explain why she turns over so hard.Or if she has a idler gear the gear could of worn oblong which caused the rest of valvetrain to get out of tune.Had a 400hp chevy with gear drive(pete jackson) do that once.Id pull the timming cover and see what is going on would not be surprised to see timming has jumped.Nothing like buying a project,The combine I bought Red it took me two weeks and tall money to combine about 10 acres,lucky for me wife never saw the bills.
