seat springs for w series tractors

i am having a hard time finding seat springs for my w-6 and my dads wr-9... i have been told early m and h are the same but everyone wants to sell the entire seat... i dont need that just wondering if anyone had any suggestions? i am wondering if i can cut down an old tension spring from a sq baler... havent found one of them either
