I hooked a pipe wrench to it and lifted it with a Hi-Lift Jack. I pulled off the belt pulley assembly and put a wrench in the gears with a old towel to jam them. It took a couple of minutes of messing around and click, click, pop. I pulled one off of a 1942 H and it came off by finger pressure. Go figure. High Lift Jacks are great for rooting around on red tractors. Be careful though. The handle can knock you out. I know. I got popped by one three winters ago. Made my head ring for a week. Had trouble eating french fries. Wacked my jaw. Be careful! Old Red can hurt you. Think about it first!!!!
