The hydraulic systems on these tractors have an internal relief valve. You can hold the hyrdaulic handle with the loader fully raised and hear it kick in. The hydraulic system would be very fragile and dangerous without it. The first time you accidentally held the control too long when the cylinder was at its limits, you'd split the pump. As suggested, the easiest thing to do is plumb a open-center dual-spool valve into one of the existing hydraulic outlets.
