I did a semester project on making ethanol and converting a truck to run on it. I found the majority of my info on the web from Mother Earth News articles/books. They explained the theory, operations, "recipes", and a whole lot of other stuff to do it cheap. These articles, I think, are from the 70's when gas was high in demand/low supply. Beware: A permit from ATF is needed to make ethanol (different from moonshine) and I think you have to be over 21 to get it. Or else, just be real quiet about what you're doing ;) If you can't find the info, just post back and I should be able to get you some of the info I have. Good luck, easy project to get A!
