scott: I have one of the factory one point fast hitch disks. It has 16 blades that I would judge to have been 15 or 16 inch diameter. My tractors pull that disk quite easily. I think 20 blades would be a good load. The benefits you get with cutting down a large disk are usually 18" blades, sealed bearings, heavier bearings, gang bolts, spacers and disk blades. The one the guy built from 44 blade disk had 4 bearings per gang. He wasn't sure whether he would build another 20 blade mounted disk or keep blades an bearings for spares. He made the 24 blade disk he built a trailer with hydraulic lift. I told him that with all that heavy gear he will probably never need spares, so he may as well put together another disk and sell it. If you wish send me an e mail, I will send a photo of that disk and one of my factory one point disk. I think you will find that one point disk will be quite similar to disk in your SA book.

Originally the company was called the Cleveland Motor Plow Company which began in 1912, then the Cleveland Tractor Company (1917) and finally Cletrac.
