Bernard, your H was a distillate burner and shutters were necessary on all distilate tractors to get them hot enough to run efficiently on kerosene. There was also a metal shield that fit around the manifold to pre heat the fuel for better efficiency. As far as I know fenders were an option for all the H models. Seems strange though that just about every H I see in southern Ontario has fenders, while pictures of H's from the southern states are often without fenders..they may have been removed to attatch cotton pickers and such machinery. H and M fenders are identical and interchangeable. Are there 4 holes tapped in the axle housing, if so you can install fenders....Mike in Exeter Ontario
